The Japanese title, Midori no Hibi (美鳥の日々), means "Midori's days", where "Midori" (美鳥, lit. beautiful bird) is a main character's name. It can also be translated punningly as "Green Days"—midori is a homophone for the Japanese word for "green", hence Midori's green hair. In addition, the title is a pun referring to Greenery Day (みどりの日, Midori no hi), the name of Japanese holiday that formerly was part of Golden Week.
